Tabatha

I grew up facing challenges that no child should have to endure. I was adopted, and I faced abuse that left lasting scars. As I got older, I became trapped in a cycle of pain and poor decisions. I turned to alcohol to numb the hurt. My life felt like a never-ending spiral of darkness, and I felt like a terrible mother, constantly battling the belief that I was failing my children.

Housing instability made things even harder—my children and I were in and out of shelters, never knowing what the next day would hold.

But through the LIFE Skills Program, I began to see a light in the darkness. In addition to the practical tools I learned, I discovered I am loved and that my worth isn’t defined by my past.

Today, my story looks very different. My children are happy and healthy. I’ve learned to prioritize what truly matters and focus on building a better future. We’ve been in the same community for several years now, and we’ve built meaningful relationships that have transformed our lives.

When I look back, I see how far we’ve come—from surviving to thriving. This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth every step.

Thank you, Love INC, for all the support you’ve given me over the years. Your kindness and encouragement have made all the difference, and I am so grateful for everything you’ve done to help me and my family thrive.
