At Love INC Allegan County, volunteers like Dennis are the heart of our ministry. For nearly 10 years, he faithfully served behind the scenes, answering phones, preparing paperwork, organizing files, making appointments, and completing countless tasks that help ensure every neighbor who reached out was met with care and compassion.

We are deeply grateful for Dennis’ willingness to answer God’s call to serve. His quiet faithfulness has blessed our staff, our ministry, and the many families who have walked through our doors. Here’s what he shared of his experience here:

I’ve been volunteering at Love INC for about 10 years. I first got involved because Barry Lucas, who had been my pastor and was the Executive Director of Love INC, invited me to serve. I saw it as an opportunity to serve the Lord by helping His people and to spend my time doing something that truly mattered.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a receptionist, answering and making phone calls, preparing files for appointments, organizing paperwork, making copies of vouchers and forms, shredding documents, scheduling appointments, stuffing envelopes, and helping with mailings. While these may seem like small tasks, they all help Love INC serve people with care and efficiency.

The part I enjoy most is simply being able to help people who need it.

Volunteering at Love INC has reminded me how incredibly blessed I am. It has also shown me the generosity and goodness of people throughout our community who come together to care for their neighbors.

There isn’t always a lot of help available for people in Allegan County, and Love INC fills a vital need. I’m grateful to be a small part of the work God is doing here.
