Spring

Volunteers at Love INC are just regular people who want to make a difference. They don’t always come with an extra special skillset or all of the knowledge they could possibly need to do a certain job. But they come with open hearts. They come with open minds. And they leave forever impacted.

Spring, who mentors Kari in our LIFE Skills Program, recently shared of her experience:

I love working with people who simply need a hand up to steady their lives. Many come looking for someone to remind them of their worth, and I’ve learned that I need a cheerleader like that on my sidelines, too.

None of us have perfect lives—we’re all carrying something—and it’s in those shared struggles that we discover how much we need one another, and how much we rely on the Lord to feel whole.

For a long time, I didn’t believe I had anything to offer. I never imagined I could impact someone else’s life, yet volunteering has shown me otherwise. I’ve gained new friends who share my faith, and together we lift each other up as we serve.

Spreading the good news of the Lord has become one of my greatest joys, and at Love INC, the fields truly are plentiful.

Spring and Kari’s friendship expanded beyond the LIFE Skills Program and into their homes. Spring recently enjoyed making brownies with Kari’s son, Geovanny.
